What you’ll need:
1. Glue
2. Scissors
3. Colors and/or markers
4. Yarn (or any string
like material)
How to make it: 1. Color light bulbs.
2. Cut out light bulbs.
3. Glue light bulb cutouts to yarn.
(Leave 3” of space between each light bulb cut out).
4. Now you’re done!

The theatric-craft activity is a perfect way to bring english and art together. Start by having your students write a short narrative on the activity sheet, which could include all or some of the following animals:
Pig
Puppy
Mouse
Lion
Bear
Lamb
Monkey
Frog
Collaborating on the writing assignment is ideal, but the only rule is to be creative! Once the story is finished, assign the roles, or have the students select which character they would like to be. After the roles are assigned, the students can begin the craft portion of the activity.
Materials
Printable card stock
Poster paint, crayons, or markers
Scissors
White glue
Paint brush
elastic/stretchy string
Glitter glue (optional)
Glue gun (optional)
Decorative materials: sequins, rhinestones, ribbons, crepe paper strips, puffy paint, aluminum foil, etc.

Safety Tips: Young kids (3 to 8 years) should use child-safe scissors. Small materials like buttons, beads, or pompoms
are choking hazards. Not suitable for use by kids below the age of three. Parental supervision is recommended.
Steps
Download the mask and print them out on letter size card stock paper.
Cut out the mask, including the eye holes. (may need adults help)
Decorate the mask with your paint, crayons, markers, or another ornate materials. (Be sure to leave the hole punch circles clear of any decorations.)
Let sit and dry until glued elements are securely fastened to the mask.
Take the hole puncher and create the holes for the stretchy string.
Take the stretchy string and cut 5 inches or more
Place the elastic in the holes on mask and tie a double knot.
Now your mask are complete…let the show begin! Click the images above to download the mask templates. Enjoy!
1. Download the flip book template(Print as many as you need)
2. Choose a design or character you want to animate
2. Draw/color one scene per square (slide)
3. Separate the slides by cutting down the dotted lines
4. Put the slides in order
5. Use 2-3 staples to fasten the left side of the stack of slides
Tips:
Remember that by starting at the bottom, you get a better idea of where to draw your pictures.
You can start at the top if you wish, but it may be harder.
The more slides per second you have, the more realistic your film will be.
Draw your flipbook in pencil first. You can always outline in pen later. Just remember that you cannot erase pen.
You can use a phonebook to create longer flipbooks. Just make sure to either write on the border of the pages, or use a black marker on top of the pages.
A way to preserve your flipbook (and drive you absolutely insane) is to photograph each page in such a way that allows you to put them or less, similar to a stop motion.
